About Us

A Practice Built for Whole-Person Healing

Founded in 2020, Tella Psychology was created to provide a practice where clients’ full range of needs—mental, emotional, and physical—are seen and supported. Dr. Jessica Klement launched Tella Psychology after years of experience in an academic medical center, where she valued the integrative care model. In her experience, challenges like pain, sleep issues, and chronic conditions often influence clients’ mental health but aren’t always part of the treatment conversation with community mental health providers. At the same time, limitations imposed by managed care in medical settings often leads to brief sessions and restricted availability, making it difficult for clients to receive the depth of support they may need. Tella Psychology was founded to bridge both gaps—offering whole-person support that is comprehensive and client-centered, with the flexibility to provide personalized care that isn’t constrained by insurance requirements or time limitations of traditional medical settings.

Since its founding, Dr. Benatti and Dr. George have partnered with Dr. Klement, bringing their expertise in trauma-informed care to further enrich our approach at Tella Psychology. While other providers may recognize trauma, they often lack a trauma-informed approach. Trauma-informed care matters because it not only acknowledges past experiences but also understands how these experiences shape your responses, beliefs, and needs. Without a trauma-informed approach, clients may receive well-meaning support that, despite best intentions, feels invalidating or overlooks the lasting impact of their history on daily life. Instead of focusing solely on symptoms, we help clients understand how past experiences shape their thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and even physical health—so they can develop greater self-awareness and build healthier, more connected lives.
