Hello and Welcome,

I work with adults, teens, families and couples.  My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges, difficult situations and increase connection with yourself and others. With a warm and welcoming approach, I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment to best understand your needs, experiences, and perspectives. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship in conjunction with evidence-based approaches and collaboration are invaluable aspects of effective psychotherapy that aid in reaching your goals.

I am a Licensed Psychologist serving as a psychotherapist, supervisor, consultant and speaker. I received my Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology- Chicago, IL in 2016. I completed my clinical residency at UT Health, and two-year fellowship where I received advanced training in child and adolescent psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and treating developmental complex trauma and PTSD.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed care framework, allowing for safety, trust, transparency, collaboration, and empowering my clients to have a voice and choices in their lives. Integrity, transparency, compassion and communication are the main pillars of the work that I do and I have established my practice with these core values.

In therapy, I use an individualized approach and treatment model for each person I encounter. I begin by attempting to fully comprehend your story, what makes you unique. As a psychodynamically trained psychotherapist, I gravitate towards understanding relationship dynamics, and how early attachments and relationships affect your life and perspective today. My psychological understanding and tools can only take us so far, and I believe that the relationship we are able to build is at the epicenter for effective psychotherapy. I integrate various evidence-based tools and techniques to provide relief and work collaboratively with my clients to reduce symptoms, teach skills, and manage difficult situations over time.

Education & Past Experience

I have over 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist. In addition to my private practice, I have worked in various settings including hospitals, community mental health agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and university counseling centers. I have worked as a member of multidisciplinary treatment teams in several hospital-based and community outpatient settings, which has assisted in increasing my ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals about treatment needs. I have also worked in the development of large-scale systemic programs in large hospital settings, and served as a consultant in trauma-informed care. These roles keep me at the forefront of evidence-based practice and treatment modalities. In addition, I regularly invest in my education by attending new trainings, conferences, continuing education workshops, personal therapy, and consultation with experts.
